Name: Mercury
Weapon: Grab Buster
Weakness: Black Hole
Weapon Acquired: Grab Buster
Mercury is one of the first four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. His body is made of liquid metal, allowing him to take any form and dismantle himself to attack, similar to the Devil Series. His main weapon is the Grab Buster, an attack that can steal energy and items from enemies and absorb them to recover his health. Sometimes Mercury also uses the Grab Buster on his allies. He has a loose tongue, and as a result he doesn't have many friends. He doesn't get along with Pluto.
Most walkthroughs recommend taking on Mercury first, since he seems to be easily beaten with the Mega Arm (this strategy also saves the player from losing valuable small Energy Tanks to the Grab Buster as there are none in Mercury's stage). Later on, when the player faces him again in Wily's Space Lab, Mega Man can use the Black Hole to defeat him quickly.
Name: Venus
Weapon: Bubble Bomb
Weakness: Photon Missile
Weapon Acquired: Bubble Bomb
Venus is one of the first four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. He is a very aggressive Robot Master that walks sideways like a crab, as he is unable to walk forward. Venus loves cleanliness and washes his head with shampoo every morning, despite the fact that he doesn't have hair.
Name: Mars
Weapon: Photon Missile
Weakness: Salt Water
Weapon Acquired: Photon Missile
Mars is one of the first four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. He is a Robot Master similar to Napalm Man and Commando Man in that he is a walking weapon - heavily armored and equipped with a variety of deadly weapons. The rollers in his feet allow him to move at high speed, however, he cannot jump well because of his heavy armor and weaponry. His main weapon is the Photon Missile, a missile that stays in place for about a second before flying horizontally with great power. He also attacks by dropping land mines and launching homing missiles. Mars is vulnerable to the corrosive effects of Salt Water, which can defeat him in just a couple of well-aimed hits.
Name: Neptune
Weapon: Salt Water
Weakness: Spark Chaser
Weapon Acquired: Salt Water
Neptune is one of the first four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. He's an aquatic Robot Master with a half-human, half-fish appearance. His weapon is Salt Water, a fluid with substances that can corrode metal.
Name: Dark Moon
Weakness: Photon Missile
Dark Moon is a devil type robot boss from Mega Man V. After the defeat of the first four Stardroids, Terra orders Dark Moon to destroy Mega Man to avenge his fallen comrades. Dark Moon is 5 blocks tall.
Name: Jupiter
Weapon: Electric Shock
Weakness: Bubble Bomb
Weapon Acquired: Electric Shock
Jupiter is one of the second four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. He is a Robot Master equipped with a jet engine that allows him to fly. In ancient times he was equipped with a megaton grade bomb, but feeling it was too dangerous for him indoors, he modified it to channel energy for his main weapon, the Electric Shock.
Name: Saturn
Weapon: Black Hole
Weakness: Electric Shock
Weapon Acquired: Black Hole
Saturn is one of the second four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. Saturn has the ability to control time and space to stop time and create black holes, and like his namesake planet, he has a large ring that he uses to attack. Saturn is somewhat lazy and uses his ability to transport others to him with a black hole instead of going to their location, which gives him a bad reputation. According to his CD data, he enjoys hula hoops, but has a dislike of video games, presumably down to either linking with his weakness, or a lack of skill at playing them.
Name: Uranus
Weapon: Deep Digger
Weakness: Break Dash
Weapon Acquired: Deep Digger
Uranus is one of the second four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. He has a bull-like appearance and is the Stardroid with the greatest physical strength. Uranus uses his brute physical strength to attack with Deep Digger, which involves lifting boulders up from the ground to throw them at enemies. During the rematch against him on the Wily Star, it is possible (but difficult) to use Deep Digger to cause him to fall into a pit, which will destroy him.
Name: Pluto
Weapon: Break Dash
Weakness: Grab Buster
Weapon Acquired: Break Dash
Pluto is one of the second four Stardroids Mega Man must fight in Mega Man V for the Game Boy. Pluto was designed for jungle combat and is invulnerable to the cold. As his appearance suggests, he is agile like a feline. Slash Man is designed after him. Pluto does not get along with Mercury, possibly because he is weak to Mercury's weapon, Grab Buster. Pluto's main attack is Break Dash, where he dashes at supersonic speed. He can also hang on walls and fire two types of energy shots from his hands.
Name: Terra ( Earth )
Weapon: Spark Chaser
Weakness: Deep Digger
Weapon Acquired: Spark Chaser
Terra, known as Earth is the leader of the Stardroids. He appears in front of Mega Man in the beginning of Mega Man V, and defeats him as even a charged shot from Mega Man's Super Mega Buster could not faze Terra due to his extraterrestrial origin. However, the Mega Arm changed that later (but he falls even faster to Uranus' special weapon, Deep Digger).
After the defeat of the first four Stardroids, Terra sends Dark Moon to attack Mega Man and moves to space, where he prepares an attack against Earth. Mega Man travels to space to destroy the four stations. After the defeat of the second four Stardroids, Terra gets angry that Mega Man had ruined his plans. He fights against Mega Man to redeem himself from his master Dr. Wily, but was defeated.
Name: Enker
Weapon: Mirror Buster
Weakness: Mega Arm
Weapon Acquired: Mirror Buster
Enker was the first robot from the "Mega Man Killer" series built by Dr. Wily, the only purpose of which is to destroy Mega Man. In Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge, he appears after the second set of Robot Masters is defeated. His Mirror Buster allows him to absorb shots into his spear (called the Barrier Spear) and fire them back at Mega Man as either small buster shots or large waves, depending on the amount of shots taken.
Name: Quint
Weapon: Sakugarne
Weakness: Photon Missile
Weapon Acquired: Sakugarne
Quint is Mega Man from a peaceful future that was modified by Dr. Wily to fight against Mega Man in the present in Mega Man II. His main weapon is Sakugarne, a digging robot that looks like a combination of a pogo-stick and jackhammer.
Although Quint serves the same role as the Mega Man Killers (Enker, Punk and Ballade) in the Game Boy games, and the four appear in the same stage in Mega Man V, Quint is not part of the Mega Man Killers.
Quint should also be not be mistaken for Rockman Shadow from the game Rockman & Forte: Mirai Kara no Chousensha, who was created at the same time period as Quint and is similar to him, and uses a weapon similar to Sakugarne.
Name: Punk
Weapon: Screw Crusher
Weakness: Salt Water
Weapon Acquired: Screw Crusher
Now here is a music reference that's pathetically obvious. I mean, Punk clearly looks the part of the music genre that he's named after. One tough customer, in the Game Boy version of Mega Man III, it was best to avoid getting hit by Punk himself or his Screw Crusher. Punk could destroy Mega Man in a mere 3-4 hits and was completely invulnerable when rolling at Mega Man in ball form. Woe to the player that lacked sufficient dodging skills or had zero E-Tanks. Punk is the only Mega Man Killer to have a Net Navi counter part in the Mega Man Battle Network series. This is all because Mega Man bigwig Keiji Inafune views Punk as one of his favorite creations.
Name: Ballade
Weapon: Ballade Cracker
Weakness: Bubble Bomb
Photon Missile
Weapon Acquired: Ballade Cracker
The third and final robot in the Mega Man Killer series, Ballade has a great sense of pride and desires to be nothing but the strongest, and dislikes weak opponents. Does Ballade remind you of someone else? He should. These very traits would later be passed down to Bass. You might think Ballade is a quickster with a headpiece very similar to Quick Man, but in truth, Ballade has about average speed and his Ballade Cracker is easy enough to dodge. While Ballade is similar to Bass, there is one key difference between the two: Ballade knows how to show some humility. After his second loss to Mega Man, Ballade, in a surprising show of character development admits that he was wrong and helps Mega Man escape Wily's fortress by blowing himself up, destroying the final barrier that was preventing the Blue Bomber escaping. Why Green Biker Dude has a bigger fan following than Ballade, I'll never know.
Name: Dr. Wily Skull Blazer
Weakness: Rush Space
Wily Star is the starbase that Dr. Wily hides out in Mega Man V. It has a giant skull called Skull Blazer in the center that attacks with large lasers. The four cannons above the skull launches guided missiles, and the four lower ones normal shots. The Skull Blazer can only be damaged when its mouth is open.
After Mega Man defeated Terra in space, Dr. Wily tries to hit Mega Man with the Skull Blazer's lasers, but he dodges them with Rush and manages to enter the Wily Star after destroying the Skull Blazer's mouth. Inside the Wily Star, Mega Man fights against several enemies, Enker, Quint, Punk, Ballade, eight Stardroids, Dr. Wily (inside the Brain Crusher), and Sunstar. After defeating Sunstar, the Wily Star explodes. Despite this, Dr. Wily survives and attempts to challenge Mega Man in his Wily Capsule, but ends up down on his knees begging for mercy like he usually does when his Capsule self-destructs before he can attack.
Name: Left Knuckle and Right Knuckle
Weakness: Salt Water
L. Knuckle and R. Knuckle are two giant knuckle bosses from Mega Man V fought in the Wily Star before Dr. Wily. Mega Man first fights against the left knuckle, which moves above the screen and tries to punch Mega Man, causing the floor to shake. Its weak points are its eyes. After Mega Man defeats it, the right knuckle appears. R. Knuckle has the same attacks as L. Knuckle, but it moves faster and can also attack with homing missiles and catch Mega Man. You can use Salt Water on them. It is their weakness and you can hit them easier if you use it directly. But it won't be enough to dispatch both Knuckles, so consider using the Grab Buster on the R. Knuckle to restore lost energy on the first battle and decently damage it.
Name: Brain Crusher
Weakness: Spark chaser
Brain Crusher is a machine used by Dr. Wily in Mega Man V. It attacks by throwing bombs (Alabell) and small robots (Pikashu). The fight begins by fighting two giant robot fists that try to crush Mega Man and launch missiles. They can be damaged when they drop by shooting their eyes.
The robot body attacks with a set pattern of launching missiles, pulling Mega Man towards the spiked ceiling with the Pikashu and launching Alabell bombs. To defeat the robot body, the player needs to send the Alabell bombs back at the machine by blasting them up against it with the Mega Buster. Once its life meter is drained, only the top portion of the robot body remains and attacks with shockwaves. The ceiling also drastically lowers, limiting Mega Man's jumping room. The tracking Spark Chaser works best to attack Wily while still focusing on dodging, however if the player wishes to preserve ammunition for the fight against Sunstar, the Grab Buster is also powerful.
Name: Sunstar
Weakness: Spark Chaser
Sunstar, known as Sungod is the final boss of Mega Man V. Sunstar is an ancient doomsday weapon from the same era of the Stardroids that was found by Dr. Wily. After his defeat in Wily Star, Wily activates Sunstar to defeat Mega Man. Sunstar attacks Wily, but fights against Mega Man anyway, stating that robots were created to fight and that he "must destroy all inferior forms".
When Sunstar was defeated in the battle, Mega Man asks if he is alright and wants to take him for repairs in Light Labs. Surprised with his kindness to an enemy, Sunstar asks why he is helping him, as both are robots created only to fight. Mega Man says he's wrong, and that he will only fight when it's needed to protect the world, and robots and humans can live together in peace. Sunstar thinks about what Mega Man said, but says he will never know as his fusion reactor was critically damaged and it could explode at any moment, and tells Mega Man to leave. Shortly after Mega Man's escape, Sunstar's explosion destroys Wily Star.
